hiii bro... i tried info from many sites and was able to delete the virus with the help of Mcafee..after some manual changes in config. however, one problem persisted that hidden file were still not showing..in folder option the "dont show hidden fle" ws checked but there no option for "show all hidden file " as is seen normally..After your this wonderful advice, I could uncheck "dont show hidden file" box. but i still cannot see "show all hidden files" option... please help dude!!

Have you follow the procedure above? Try to go msconfig to uncheck some anonymous program running to your system..(etc. amvo, d.com)

Or you can try this:

Look the location entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon, in the entry named: SHELL, a value = Explorer.exe,SCVHOST.EXE. Edit this value, delete the SCVHOST.EXE only and the value must be Explorer.exe. Once you delete all this value, your computer will not login anymore.

Waiting for your response..

Well.. I am able to uncheck "dont show hidden files". But where is the option "Show all hidden files".. earlier there were too options.. but only one option we can see... If the other option is not visible... we will not be able to hide files and see again as per our wish!!

perhaps it has something to do with the missing value "@shell32.dll,-30500" in registry.. Please check and guide.

When I was trying to make the value 1 for Hidden a few seconds later it would revert back to 2.
Also when i go to folder options then click 'Show hidden files and folders' it dosn't and goes back to 'Do not show hidden files or folders'.
What do i do?
